With an ever growing population and increasing development around the world, the need for alternative energy sources greatly increases with every passing day. One of the main forms of alternative energy being pushed is biofuels. This is due to their decreased emissions in comparison to more conventional fuels such as diesel and gasoline. I will be covering many aspects in this paper that will highlight the benefits of biofuels, how it started and where it is predicted to be in the future. What is Biofuel? Whether or not it is from the sugar or starch of said mass, oil or the mass itself, it can be used or converted into a biofuel. Everything from algae to wheat can be used to make â€Å"Biofuel†. It also comes in many liquid, gas or solid form. Liquid form When referring to biofuel, the most common and sometimes only form that will be mentioned is the liquid form. Ethanol and bio-diesel are the two most common forms of a liquid biofuel. Usually they will be given a â€Å"brand† name such as E-85 (ethanol) or Clean Diesel. Gas form Methane is a gas form of biofuel. It is most commonly produced on farms and landfills. Solid form When I first heard of biofuel in a solid state or form I was taken back for a second. After looking into it, it may be the simplest form of biofuel. Anything form wood chips to grass clipping or any other form of solid biomass that can be burned or incinerated in the place ofShow MoreRelatedStock Valuation5848 Words   |  24 Pagesshare.
